CT-JAPAN Science Exchange for High School Students

The goals of this exchange program are to 1) understand science is a universal language and 2) foster long-lasting international friendships through science.

2nd event: science exchange meetingĀ 

Date: March 10th in 2023

Participants: Glastonbury High School (CT, USA) & Matsuyama Minami High School (Ehime, Japan)

Due to the restriction in traveling, we organized the science exchange meeting over Zoom between GHS and Matsuyama Minami high school. Graduate students of UConn Chemistry participated as a moderator of the breakout sessions.

1st event: Photochemistry workshop

Date: October 29th and 30th in 2019

Participants: Woodstock Academy (CT, USA) & Matsuyama Minami High School (Ehime, Japan)

We introduce high school students to the concept of photo-initiated chemical reactions and their importance in science and technology.
